I'm getting some Divers feels in the strange chord progressions and dense arrangements, I think I might end up loving this
It's a metal top 20 list. There's always going to be some niche-y stuff on it in comparison to the Pitchforks and the Noiseys of the world. Other than the fact I disagree pretty heavily with their #1, their list isn't bad. Necrot, Tombs, Integrity, Dead Cross, Full of Hell, Amenra, Converge, Chelsea Wolfe, and Power Trip are definitely all top list worthy. oh yeah i agree with that, i was mostly saying the metal doesn't have much overlap to the general critical world right now
and most metalheads, being the overprotective fatherly figures they are, would prefer to keep it that way.

Yes, definitely hear parallels between them! But where Divers exists in a fairy tale world of sorts, Richard Dawson's album sounds more rustic.
25 never seems like enough, 100 seems like too many but I get it. 50 is just right, only 10 with honorable mentions makes the most sense for a shorter list.
