hey i'll give them props for at least putting some heavy music on their list weird that those two are on but not COK though
wasn't hating, was moreso just surprised in the way I would be if they hyped a Xibalba album or something
it's not toooo surprising coming from stereogum as usual, it's the list the most fits in with my own tastes
Thanks to these lists I've discovered Japanese Breakfast. Loving that album, I think Road Head is probably gonna end up in my top songs of the year.
i personally like her last record better. her old emo band little big league (who actually put albums on tiny engines and run for cover) rules too
i told you, i feel like someone on their team must have pissed off some publications based on how little push it got around released based on their own history and the end of year standing
Melodrama seems to be a popular #1 pick on these lists, I really was not feeling it outside of Liability but maybe I should revisit it
20 Best Albums of 2017 Revolver's 2017 list. Disagree strongly with #1, but the list isn't as bad as you'd expect it to be from the magazine that used to put out a yearly issue on "Metal's Hottest Chicks!"
I felt this way too. I didn't dislike it, but it fell out of my rotation pretty quickly. I was planning to give it another try this afternoon to see if it clicks.
For sure revisit it. It’s definitely my #1. I just think it is everything I could want in an album personally, and I relate to it a lot
Also glad to be seeing this in the SOTY lists. Not that it wouldn't be. I just wanted to post this song here cause apparently it's my most played on Spotify.
