It's interesting to me that so many British publications have put their lists out and then crickets elsewhere.
Yeah, I don't really like any of the first three as full albums. I don't even think they have higher highs, but their highs are still great
I said it in the other thread, but I think MASSEDUCTION is pretty easily better than her first two but not as good as Strange Mercy or S/T. It'll be on my list, just not top 10.
Apotheosis by Caracara is my SOTY followed by The Way life Goes and Motion Sickness. Pills is one of my favorites off the new St. Vincent album. I get the same feeling from Fever Ray's This Country.
I like her previous 3 albums all better than the new one. I also think Pills is one of her worst songs. I still like the album overall though.
It could only be a good thing that there are so many rankings, as long as you like PIlls. If you don't there should be a pill for that.
it's already january in the UK, now it makes sense backup answer: the brits are so backwards they're the only ones that still do magazine publications which is why these lists are out so early and rolling stone
I haven't listened to the new National record yet so naturally I saw the song title and started singing, "Until the day I DIIIiiieee... I'll spill my heart for yOOOuuuuu." Memories. But also, I need to listen to Sleep Well Beast.
Lots of fairly under the radar stuff I really liked on there (Hoops, Anna of the North, Susanne Sundfør, etc) Lots of stuff in that top 20 I thought was unremarkable Lots of stuff to check out, which makes it a good list
hope GVB does their tracks playlist like they did last year, that was always a blast to look through surprised laura halo wasn't #1 but KLO at #2 is amazing and i can't complain about yaeji
