Melkbelly and OHMME on that Pitchfork rock list is awesome, they haven’t gotten a ton of love elsewhere.
I always like the Uproxx Music Critics poll. The cumulative list ends up being pretty similar to all the others, but sifting through the individual lists is fun. By far the list I look forward to the most every year. Aquarium Drunkard : 2020 Year In Review : Aquarium Drunkard

^^ I feel like I like that Am I in a time warp with Empty Country? I know his album was delayed into this year but Marian was one of my favorite tracks from last year
As bad as i'm sure an album with that title will be, they don't make inappropriate comments about children on social media, so not really on the same level. Besides, it's Kerrang. If you're over 15 and still taking music advice from them, you need to have a look at yourself in the mirror haha
Them and Rocksound. It's surprising they ended up with something genuinely good like Code Orange as their AOTY.
I mean they did something cool and posted the Svalbard performance in the K Pit but other than that...eek
I’ve seen MGK on a ton of personal AOTY lists on my socials so far. Not for me personally, but it definitely seems well loved.
MGK album is just watered down pop punk, it ONLY speaks to nostalgia for a type of music that is no longer popular. His singing vocals are absolutely horrid, they do not fit the music at all. And he is a trash human
I completely agree. But I’m not surprised Kerrang would’ve included him and I know a lot of my IG following loved it.
