My AOTY from last year showed up on most lists, so this is different!

 

Man, that AOTY notice for Kacey on Stereogum is so huge. Huge for her, huge for country, huge for women in country. Great blurb of it, too.

Also, Father John Misty has been absent from nearly every list so far which to me is baffling. God's Favorite Customer is ridiculously better than his last one.

Agreee. Extremely puzzling (and I love Pure Comedy too).

 

Oh wow, loving all of the dark/ambient/experimental that Quietus included. Surprised I know more than 25 on that one

 

Yeah it's MUCH better. I was not a fan of Pure Comedy at all but God's Favorite Customer is up there with Honeybear for me.

 

God’s Favorite Customer is easily my favorite of his. The title track kills me every time.

 

Yea Gods Favorite Customer being overlooked or under appreciated on a few of these lists is a giant head scratcher.

Not as egregious but similar to Broken Social Scene- Hug of Thunder basically being forgotten last year.

2018 Music Year End List Aggregate

It's #13. Not doing too bad.

It's easily in my top 3. @Craig Manning would appreciate the songwriting much more on GFC.

 

Pusha T with a 15 spot on The Quietus is nuts. The Quietus is just a littttllle too avant for my tastes. But I appreciate and respect them doing their thing.

 

Is Rob Mitchum doing his yearly aggregate? That’s my favorite one. Didn’t see him mention anything about it.

Though is that really the most quoted line on the album? If so...how?

 

tbh that may be my least favorite line on the record.

 

I mean I like the line, too. But I can think of a ton I'd single out first.

 

I've heard 6/100 on the Quietus list...which may actually be a record for me.

 

Yeah, that part was...odd. I thought he was going to quote the first line of the song, which would have made more sense. Even so, not sure how you say "most quoted line on the album" when I don't think any line on this album has been overly quoted. Haha
