I was just having some discussions. Mostly curious why people don't like it, I'm not angry if anyone doesn't like anything. It's all fun.

 

Made it through the Fader list of tracks today. Solid mix of stuff I already liked and stuff I hadn't heard. Fave discoveries were:

Mal Devisa - Sea of Limbs
Princess Nokia - Tomboy
Burna Boy - Pree Me
Ray Blk - My Hood
DJ Quik - A New Nite / Rosecrans Grove
Modern Baseball - Mass (I was shocked, I guess I should finally try the new album)

 

have you ever heard a dj quik record? quik is the name is a classic, dude is a legend and doesnt really have an album i dont like

 

Not that I can recall, I think this was the first I've heard him. At least knowingly.

It's my biggest surprise of the year that I love the Angel Olsen record. Not usually my sort of thing at all.

 

Rosecrans made my Top 25, it's really good, Quik is one of the most consistent artists in Hip Hop

 

It's actually reeeeally good and I went in with the expectation I'd hate it if that helps

I feel like this has been a general consensus, but I still couldn't bring myself to listen to anything lol. I'm gonna finally check it this weekend though.

 

i think the record is fine, definitely their best yet, and all the press they've done around this record has given me massive respect for them even if i don't like their music much

i like the back half far more
