Lol at having Green Day on that list at all let alone above Bon Iver and others.

maybe 15 solid albums on that list, nme is known to be trash and are hardly tastemakers tho

 

Heard 22/50 on that NME list. Can't decide if that's respectable or not.

as i said, the stereogum list will be amongst the best this year for "indie" music"

A lot of good and overlooked albums on the NME list.

 

I have never heard of half the albums on that NME list

 

i mean certain albums get a lot more press from british publications than US ones

 

i've heard 27 of them, about half of which i have no desire to hear again

 

I'm not even talking good/bad, I'm just genuinely baffled that they're speaking about huge years for artists I've literally never heard of

 

The lack of Shura, Lapsley and Billie Marten is a shame. The inclusion of Slaves, Skepta and Kano is a plus.

If that same list was published by anyone other than NME, I feel like it'd be v well received here
