no not at all, they're a big california based garage rock label, really well known label. like there are some cool bands but generally most of the things just feel so image based.
i own two tapes and have never played them because i dont own a cassette player lol. but i have the united nations tape that came with the next four years box set and the fight off your demons tape which i got just cuz why not. otherwise i will never buy a tape
this was their 2015 fest which like there are some cool things but a lot of stuff i find insufferable too
The 20 Best Electronic Albums of 2016 | Pitchfork Marie Davidson LP sounds interesting. remember trying to find that Shy Layers when they first reviewed it and couldn't so I forgot about it, looking forward to that. Lots of cool choices.
Yeah its dead interesting though. Dunno how many of those albums I'll actually bother listening to, but all those blurbs make them sound fascinating.
