So far Angel Olsen still 11/11 on the lists I'm compiling (only keeping track of albums I haven't heard yet). Almost want to wait to listen to her to see just how perfect that streak can stay. Haha

 

Angel Olsen was good, I definitely need a re-listen to maybe catch what everyone is so hype about.

 

41 of the 46 albums I haven't heard on the GvB list have not been on any other lists yet. That's nuts.

Not really. GVB has a niche that doesn't get covered in a lot of other places. Which I guess is a problem but not surprising

Has anyone listened to this Show Me The Body record? There doesn't even seem to be mention of it anywhere on the forum. They had the only song I hadn't heard on Gabriela's SOTY list so I decided to listen now.

 

i haven't listened to them but i also think i thought they were totally different than they are, haha. the radio station i work at booked them for a show (which they then cancelled) but based on what i knew about them i thought it was like a dj, haha

Wasn't that arsed about the Angel Olsen record. Listened to it a handful times, and the only song I can recall is that Shut Up and Kiss Me song, which admittedly is superb. The rest kind of came and went for me.

 

I'm not really into Angel Olsen other, but I suppose I see the appeal

 

I tried twice and didn't care for it either time. I remember feeling similarly about her record from a few years ago.
