i'm definitely hearing a bit of the kezia punk vibe, mixed with some of their later style. the mix is definitely a little weird, sounds like it should be a little "bigger" but i think i'm used to it after a couple listen, and the song's growing on me! rody sounds great!
Yeah. It just sounds really off. Rody's vocals don't need so in your face when you have Tim and Luke on guitars. Needs to be more level across the board. Drums don't sound as "big" as I would prefer either.
Take Scurrilous for comparison: C'est la Vie. You can perfectly hear those riffs behind Rody's singing.
The bridge goes though, and the chorus is catchy enough. I'll definitely check it out when the full length is released. Each time they put out new stuff though, I remember how much I miss Arif's lyrics.
