It's so ridiculous they are making more, but whatever, the last season was pretty damn fun

  4. As long as they keep it short like the 9-ep revival, I say why not. I had fun with it.

I guess they decided to go for it while the fox network still can. Once Disney purchases the fox assets except the fox network, such as 20th century fox tv, getting scripted shows for fox will increase in price (since 70% of their content is produced at 20th tv) and I see the network becoming a glorified reality network.

I actually enjoyed the last season. But this is pretty surprising considering how low the viewership was.

    Got a light?

Thought the last season was mostly terrible but still probably gonna have to watch (feel like I said the same thing about season 5)

I've been binging this for the past couple of months, my first re-watch in almost 15 years. I just got to season 4 and holy hell is it awkward how they try to do a complete rebranding of the series at this point. They were clearly trying to get the show to appeal to new viewers who were unfamiliar with the previous seasons, but some of the plot developments gave massive eye rolls.
Remember how we killed Sarah last season? Nah never mind she's still alive.
Sucre got sent back to prison last season? Nah actually the prison conveniently burned down and he escaped....yeah, that same prison we spent an entire season watching Michael try and break out of.
All the mystery surrounding Whistler that was building up for an entire year? Nah lets just kill him and have someone quickly explain who he really was.
Also hilarious that they have been on the run for multiple seasons outsmarting the FBI and the Company, yet in 5 minutes Michael Rapports character is able to find them all and start his secret task force. Also hilarious that Michael is arrested for, among other things, breaking out of two prisons, and somehow Sarah's friend is able to post bail for him. Oh and how about Michael having his entire body tattoo removed in one night?

Sorry for the ranting haha, but I have a feeling season 4 is going to be really tough to get through. Season 3 suffered story wise but the condensed 13 episode season due to the writers strike made it very condensed and palatable. I do remember liking the series finale and then the reboot mini series so I'll power through.

I can’t remember if I bothered watching past s3. I stand by my thought that s2 should have been the end of the show. Everything stays the same up to then, but this time the three get on the boat and sail off. That’s all it needed to have a good ending.

If they ended with season 2 this would’ve gone down as one of the greats. Really funny how back in the day all shows used to be like this, with 22+ episodes per season. This show would’ve thrived with 10 episode seasons during the streaming age.
