Liked this on my first listen but need more time with it. It’s way more straight forward pop punk I feel like than the last couple releases.

On my second spin and this is a great Pdaddy record. Feels more like the spiritual successor to I Thought You Didn't Even Like Leaving than either of the last two, but I'm here for the ride.

I don’t blame them for wanting to make a more straight forward rock record after the last two and most importantly, it still rips.

Standout for me is "Oh, Donna"

This feels like a much more natural continuation from CTS than the self titled.

that opener is an absolute ripper

Cant wait to dive into this record more

Final take: If you imagine Prince Daddy and The Hyena are like power-pop Calvin and Hobbes with CTS and S/T being their adventure comics...this record is kinda like the soundtrack to their adventures through manic depression.

Yeah my comment wasn’t necessarily negative, just more an expectation setting for me when listening to it or whatever. If I’m air guitarist to half the songs that’s god to be a good sign haha

Good stuff. Some of the guitar work goes off and is in my head already.

Really loving this thing. It may not hit me quite as hard as the self titled but it feels like a pretty different album from that. Super fun stuff.

Album is awesome. Very PUP-esque. Not sure I like it more than either of the last 2, but it’s not far off.

Probably like 5 listens in and I just keep thinking about how long this record is going to take to unpack

SO much going on, you think it's not as dense as something like CTS or the self-titled and then you realise they've become masters of the form even outside of a conceptual framework.

I doubt another album comes out this year that I like as much as this one.

listened to this all day today trying to fix stuff around my house.

    holy shit what a closer.

Every song on this record is cycling through as the ‘stuck in my head won’t go away’ song. I laid awake for like an hour and a half last night with ‘I’m not burning through my money cause I don’t have any left’ playing over and over again in my head.

Also shout out to the person who submitted an ‘about’ section on genius.com for pinch me with the single sentence ‘A bare naked ladies cover’. I cackled.
