please don't stop i got to listen to half of it at work a few days ago and it was very good, excited to finally get a full listen also if you didn't see my thread check out sneaks, they just announced an album on merge, were on priests's label in DC
I just checked it. Not what I expected, but really cool track. This album has me going down a 70s post-punk wormhole but at the end of it I still just wanted to play this on repeat.
Ha, not really. I like a few tracks but usually get bored of their records a few tracks in. It's been a bit though, probably haven't listened to anything since Sun Coming Down dropped.
gotcha, they're easily my favorite band of the modern post-punk stuff going on right now. really love the two records, and when i saw them last year they played a set of entirely new stuff (which is hard to gauge live but was good).
I'll give them both another go sometime this week. Savages is probably my favorite doing the style now, but I might already like this Priests record more than anything they've done.
going to check this out on my lunch break, based on the comments I think it could be something I would be into
think the run from no big bang to pink white house is my favorite on this album, like the interlude too
Listened to this three times today, turned it on a fourth at work while we were having an end-of-night glassware polishing party and people were super feeling it which was dope. Pretty sure I missed them in town recently too, which sucks now
They were really good last night. Played JJ, Nothing Feels Natural, Pink White House, No Big Bang, and either Nicki or Leila, I don't remember. Also played Doctor, Right Wing, and And Breeding from the EP. Their guitarist and drummer both slay live too. They only played for like 35 minutes, which I guess isn't unexpected from a punk show, but they didn't do an encore and it seemed to be because this one dickhead really killed the band's vibe (or Katie's at least) when he kept getting on stage to stage dive. Snail Mail were actually the best part of the show though. They ended up playing longer than Priests and ended up playing an encore just after they were about to leave the stage. The reaction and feeling in the room was so good for their set. Lindsey was sick but she still sounded incredible. I love the guitar tone she has live, makes me really want to hear them with better production. Tbh it was probably one of the best sets I've seen in the last year.
