From director Anthony Maras (Hotel Mumbai), written by David Haig based on the West End play of the same name by Haig. Starring Brenden Fraiser, Andrew Scott, Kerry Condon, and Damien Lewis. A WW2 "smart people behind the scenes" type story (similar to The Imitation Game) about the meteorologists in the planning of D Day and how they almost got the most important weather forecast in history wrong. One of the most fascinating WW2 stories that a lot of people don't know about. Brenden Fraiser as General Dwight Eisenhower Damien Lewis as General Bernard Montgomery Andrew Scott as the chief Met Office British meteorologist on the Allied European theatre staff James Stagg. Kerry Condon as Kay Summersny, Eisenhower's personal valet. Chris Messina as the American meteorologist Irving Kirk who tried to pitch junk pop science to Allied staff and almost ruined D Day.
Not in love with the trailer, but I’m still interested in the story. Though I hope its better than The Imitation Game.
I don't like the way this movie is being marketed. You'd never guess from seeing promos that this is a heavy procedural about decision makers trusting scientific data.
