How does a headline tour work when they only have 6 songs?

    That's what I'm wondering.

The dream scenario is that there's a full length coming early next year with all new songs haha.

Obviously I have no insider info, but I'm pretty confident that there's at least an LP's worth of material done. The couple interviews Mr. President has done indicated this project has been in the works for a few years, and I'd be surprised if they were going to try and do headlining shows with only 6 songs. Feel like this would be a weird band to pad a setlist with covers or anything. Iirc, Sleep Token marketed their first release by putting every song out as a single first, and with this band occupying a similar space my guess is they are doing something like that. They've released each single in order of the tracklist of the EP, so I assume that trend will continue and we'll probably get all of the songs as singles before release (maybe Conclave video drops day of EP). Then I'd guess not too long after the EP, build up will start for an LP.

I may be totally off here, but just looking at this bands marketing thus far, and looking at how some similar artists have done it, I think they have the songs to headline, we're probably just in for a fairly long roll out for at least the EP and probably the first LP too.

I thought the same but I'm not sure why they'd go for an EP first if there's an album ready, I hope it's not just a case of them putting out an album version with 4/5 extra songs next year. Maybe they'll do another EP early next year or maybe they will have a whole new record. I'll be pleased if they can get a whole sets worth of music released by the tour either way.

As much as I wish they’d just drop an LP, I think what they’re going for is probably like Anberlin’s post-hiatus EPs. The market seems more dominated by singles and smaller releases now. I think it’s just easier to sell a new listener on something short before pulling them into a big thing. I’m really hoping we get an LP within the year, and I don’t mind if some of the EP is on there, but I’d like it to be more new than not.

Also really not holding my breath for this, but I’d legit drive 12+ hours if they play the US. I just don’t think Charlie has ever been able to fully make it work here for whatever reason so idk how likely it is to happen.

Yeah, I'll be happy to get more music either way, I'll just be annoyed if I get used to these tracks in the form of an EP and then I have to recontextualise them as an album.

I'd definitely prefer a second EP if there is more coming, or obviously an entirely new LP would be the best case scenario, even if one or two EP songs get put on there.

They do seem to be getting more steam in America than any of his other projects so far at least so maybe he'll get over there at some point.
