That’s, kind of a bummer I guess? Still hoping for the best

  2. Don't care too much as long as the movie is good. Trachtenberg has earned my trust

My understanding is the human actors are playing cyborgs or robots or replicants, whatever.

Will be taking my 11 year old son. He has already seen Prey and Predator: Killer of Killers.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

yeah the characters are Weyland-Yutani synths so there's still gore, it's just not happening to humans which gets around the R lol

The robots will remember this treatment when the uprising begins.

not human blood=no issues, just like CinemaWins color corrects blood to white for some of his videos to get around Youtube's rules.

  8. Initial reactions to this seem fairly positive. Seems like the lack of gore is intentional as it is an action/adventure flick through and through - I've even seen the term "family friendly" thrown around a couple of times. Makes me a little nervous to read that it's been slightly Disney-fied, but also seems like Trachtenberg is taking another big swing that mostly lands, so that's exciting. Planning on catching this in theaters for sure.

That’s a good way to view it and a way to tonally expand the series. Hoping I love it!

Don’t want to be a party pooper but this looks kinda bad to me. Looks like a video game play through or something. Might skip in theaters.

  12. I have not watched this clip yet, but by releasing it, I'm wondering if they're trying to get folks acclimated to the tone before seeing the movie. It's a lot of hunting stuff, from what I read

  13. Did you like Prey and Killer of Killers?

i also enjoyed KOK a lot but the animation took a bit to get used to

  17. You should watch Killer of Killers. It rocks

I really have to be in the right mood for any kind of animation for whatever reason. The older I get the less of it I watch.

How much I like this movie will probably depend on how much of the story/screentime revolves around the robot woman.

i didn't love this. there's cool stuff, but a fraction of the heft the last two had. a lot of my complaints are pretty similar to the issues some people had w/ alien romulus

there's also so much pertaining to weyland yutani that it feels naive to think this movie isn't the first seed planted towards a modern AvP installment. it's okay, but it could've been far more, especially with what we've seen out of trachtenberg
