Brought this up in the front page discussion, but has there been another band that went to Will Yip for production and then didn't go back for the next release? I can't think of any.

Love the single, excited for more 'upbeat' Prawn since my favourite track on Kingfisher was 'First as Tragedy, Second as Farce'.

i like the single a lot, i didn't expect to dislike it but i definitely expected it to be less immediate to me since i've had to let all their stuff grow on me thus far

 

I wish more bands did this. I think Yip works really well on most of the records he does but some bands (Circa Survive for example) sound better with someone else. I might be wrong but pretty sure Greg Dunn did Kingfisher though? I want as much post rock-eqsue Prawn as possible.

 

Yep, Greg did Kingfisher! But Will did the songs from the MovMou split, which was the last we heard from Prawn.

And definitely agreed on Circa, for their heavier stuff at least

Usually I overplay singles but this release rollout is great and it's so close so I'm attempting to not listen beyond the 5 or so times I already have, like the song but don't love it yet
