Yeah, they mentioned in the post that the 2xLP will be in its original intended format I actually don’t think I’ve ever listened to the album in that way before
Check the deluxe version on streaming platforms. I know Apple Music has it up. From my understanding, this is the intended tracklist: 1. Scud Running 2. First as Tragedy, Second as Farce 3. Prolonged Exposure 4. Old Souls 5. Settled 6. Dialect Of… 7. Glass, Irony 8. Absurd Walls 9. Thalassa 10. Runner’s Body 11. Built For 12. Halcyon
Let’s gooooo and I get to see Joie de Vivre for the first time too. Will be good to see Prawn actually headline, too, since I’ve only ever seen them as openers minus at festivals. The energy is just not the same when they open.
Killed it on Friday night, so glad I got to see them finally. Said it was the longest set they've played yet. Also made is seem like they want to be an active band again which is prettyyy cool.
Nope only played about half of Kingfisher. Didn't get Dialect Of but they played Old Souls for the first time live.
I've probably said it in this thread, but I think this band forever changed their trajectory when they did the split with Will Yip that was incredible, then didn't go back to him for the next full length. I don't think the raw production of Run resonated with people as much as Kingfisher/MM split.
I think about this band almost daily since I bought a house next door to where I saw them play 12 years ago. Rural house about 15 min outside of town and the owners made cookies for everyone. Same family still lives there.
They were on washed up emo pod this week. Said they are planning to do some west coast dates and some more kingfisher anniversary things in 2025. Also writing new music.
I guess so much for the news form the podcast one post up... he says 15 minutes into this set that this is the only show they are playing this year. Also Corey from Free Throw helps sing at 17 minutes in. 30 minutes in Tony loses the guitar for a couple songs. Fun to see, not sure I've ever seen that before.
