Gave Kingfisher a spin for the first time in ages yesterday while driving through the mountains and it really holds up.

 

Tried with this album for the first time in forever pretty recently and didn’t make it through. Kingfisher and all things prior definitely still go though

 

I still miss this band

 

Are they completely done?

 

Haha I was literally just thinking about them too. Posted in the Somos thread minutes ago about feeling nostalgic for ~2014. Kingfisher was the second record I had on my mind

Considering the band account has been inactive since the above post from 2019, I’m not too hopeful for a new record anytime soon :(

 

Shoot yeah, I enjoyed that solo record too, hope they come back.

 

The Moving Mountains thread got me on one with Prawn this week. Remember how good Ships is? Ten years later and it’s probably still my favorite release of theirs that’s not a split. These guys had an elite understanding of guitar melody

 

I remember seeing them open for Mov Mou when Ships first dropped. I was pretty blown away. Then for some reason didnt listen to them again until Kingfisher came out. Probably my preferred record by them but Ships is still super underrated and amazing.

 

Kingfisher is still one of my favorite albums. I need to revisit Run, I remember being really disappointed in it as a whole but remember a few songs fondly

 

Ships is stunning, but I didn’t love anything that came after.

 

Y'all must've never heard Prolonged Exposure or Seas then.

Leopard’s Paw is the one song that stood out to me on Run. I remember liking the album but nothing else really stuck, I’ll have to give it another go soon. Just got a copy of Kingfisher on vinyl so I’ve been listening to that a good amount recently.
