This feels like a shot in the dark but does anyone here like powerviolence? Favorite bands? New bands? Go!

    music is all we got

Black Nail are the sickest band, although now I'm second guessing whether or not they'd be considered powerviolence. Either way, worth the listen.

That's definitley more along the lines of skramz/emoviolence but it's really good! Thanks for the reccomendation!

Uh yeah I guess I don't know much of the genre outside Infest or Weekend Nachos.

Oh ok actually I used to chat with this dude who worked at my local record store and he drummed for this and which was cool:

    I, by Necklacing

    I'll give that a listen.

WN are a good place to start. Check out Coke Bust.

I saw Coke Bust play in the basement of an anarchist house to about twenty people when Lines In the Sand came out, was a blast

Don't recreate the scene, or reinvent the meanings Supporter

I'm sure I probably listen to some bands in this genre and just don't realize it. I've heard the term used but never looked into it much. I did a wiki and would not have guessed bands like His Hero Is Gone or Charles Bronson to be considered in that genre. I would have used other descriptions most likely. Same with Weekend Nachos.

    Maybe earlier Nails.

I was way into DNF a few years ago. Elliot from Touche Amore plays drums.

And of course, Los Angeles' greatest export:
