Debuting Feb 2. There have been a few interesting changes to the plot. In a world where humanity must cope with the collateral damage of Super Heroes and Super-Villains, Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) begins her first day as Director of Research & Development for Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises that specializes in products that make defenseless bystanders feel a little safer. Full of confidence and big ideas, Emily quickly learns that her expectations far exceed those of her new boss (Alan Tudyk) and officemates, so it will be up to her to lead the team toward their full potential and the realization that you don’t need superpowers to be a hero.
Those two bullet points are what is keeping me from avoiding this after how bad the trailers and tv spots have looked.
it's a network show, networks are absolutely atrocious at making tv spots and trailers because they're aiming at a different audience than us
Well that's disappointing. I really want to see that original pilot now. Either way I'll watch this for Danny Pudi.
IIRC she was in the original cast and in the first pilot before they redid it I just watched it and it wasn't very funny but I feel like it has a lot of potential and the cast is awesome so I'll keep watching
I liked a lot of the D.C. specific jokes/references. Seeing a giant Starro was fun and I loved the commentary on today's comics about everything being the end of the world or just heroes fighting for no reason making smaller stories obsolete. It had enough to make me keep watching and I hope this becomes like a Better Off Ted, but with superheroes.
This was lame, and the series won't last, and what I read about the major changes to the pilot was disappointing, but... Honestly, I really enjoyed myself watching this, lol. I was in the mood for something dumb and silly and comic-book-y, and this scratched that itch. I have better shows that I'm behind on, but I could still see myself watching more of this on Hulu for poops and giggles.
the 2nd episode was better, Ron Funches is the funniest did you make the whip sound in front of another black person? I don't like using the word hero unless it's in front of sandwich this is one of the few things that make me sad, that and the surprisingly high cost of shark ownership I own all of you, I don't need to tell you, immediately regret it
Second was better than the first, at least. I still think this can be salvaged, although it's probably going to be cancelled so that's kind of a moot point.
20 seconds in, the reporters name is Gail Simone and they mention Donald Glover in a scene with Pudi. OKAY.
I thought the newest episode was hilarious. If it continues this way I really really hope it doesnt get cancelled.
