Billy is back as their new mentor. Hits Netflix 9/29. I assume all the episodes? edit: wtf? That’s not the right link. Hold on. Power Rangers' Original Blue Ranger David Yost Rejoining Cast for Cosmic Fury Season 30 new opening credits on there, too… in the oddest screen ratio I’ve seen in awhile.
Still not sure how I feel about bringing Zedd back as a main villain, but billy is cool and the Zord looking like it's from Kyuranger is nice too.
Saw this in the wild at Target and had to snag it. She is going right back in the box, I’m in the process of packing for a move. sadly, still all cardboard packaging. It’s awful. Glad Hasbro is going back to see through packaging, this is the worst packaging. I have some Star Wars black series with the same packaging and it makes me want to vomit.
The switch away from plastic has been a disaster. I got a figure that was sealed and didn’t have any accessories. Also to temper expectations, the rumor is that we’re not getting figures of the full team for Cosmic Fury. And Lightning Collection is going on hiatus. Hasbro has really fumbled the toy situation. Anyways, happy 30th anniversary!
Okay, it wasn’t 11 hours. Despite a post saying the show was premiering at the same time worldwide, it’s not true. It said Canada EST was 7am. That’s where my 11 hours came from. But the US time is actually 3am, which is the normal Netflix time here.
Six episodes in. This season RULES. I only have one complaint and it’s the lightest of spoilers, so I’ll hold off for now. It’s not a big deal though. Just a preference on a timing of something.
I won’t be able to watch until tomorrow but rewatched Dino Fury in prep. The last half of season 2 is some of the best in the franchise. I’ve been mostly unspoiled but what I do know is pretty exciting so I have high hopes. still can’t believe Hasbro told them the suits had to be easy to mold for toys and then didn’t bother releasing action figures for the show
Really? Wtf, Hasbro? I figured they would be coming soon. But none are? Not even a Lightning figure? I need Aemilia in red in that line.
Yeah, it sucks. Not to get too inside baseball, but Hasbro is kind of putting things on hiatus for a year while they figure out the reboot. There are still some Lightning Collection figures that haven’t been officially announced or released yet so it won’t feel like a total halt for the most part. Nothing for Cosmic Fury is in that group. There are a few basic figures set to come out but it’s only for four of the rangers apparently so we won’t even get the full team. I don’t understand the thought process that doesn’t equate to “shoe’s out, figures are out” but oh well
Wow. This could be the end. Just finished the finale. I am really satisfied with this season and how it ends. I do wish there was more though. It went by so fast.
Over the past two weeks I flew through all of the Boom Studios comics. Overall, I was really impressed with what they’ve done with it. Love the Omega Rangers idea. I finally understand exactly who Lord Drakkon and Ranger Slayer are and such. I feel like the only character that I don’t really enjoy the direction they took someone was Andros.
If I’ve never seen any of this franchise, where’s the best place to start? At the very first one? Are all the series one continuous storyline? Or are they their own self-contained stories like Final Fantasy?
This could be broken down multiple ways, but I would say just watch in release order. They have tied it all together after the fact, but some season were meant to be separate at the time. My favorite seasons are RPM, In Space, Time Force, and SPD. Dino/Cosmic Fury is pretty solid, too. The first 3 seasons are Mighty Morphong and they are fun and nostalgic for me, but there’s A LOT of episodes and it’s very much of its time. But I find it more charming for it. The rest is a mixed bag, but only a few seasons I’d say are more bad than good.
I don’t think I’m going to watch in release order, since that’s a huge commitment. i did some research after this post and i think I’ll start with RPM.
Anyone watch the new doc? 'Power Rangers' writer says casting Black and Asian actors as Black and Yellow Rangers was 'a mistake'
