Yep, it doesn’t seem to be any fault of the show either just for whatever reason no one has any interest in it. Being the 4th dinosaur themed show doesn’t help either.

Kyuranger seems like an easy pick for a new PR season but the only thing maybe hindering it would be the need for 12 ranger actors, 9 of which are main characters. Zyuohger would be a good one, with Beast Morphers having little bits of continuity references I could see them making Zyuohger powers be related to Wild Force, or maybe even playing around with the implied connection between WF and Lost Galaxy by making Zyuohger connected to both of those as well.

 

I want more than anything for Kyuranger to be adapted because I feel like there's so much potential there for a really good Ranger season. It would be hard with such a big team, but I feel like if they used the footage right they could maybe trim down the amount of Rangers on the core tram and have some come in as extras. Zyuohger would be cool depending on how Hasbro wants to continue after BM. I wonder if they'll want to continue the theme of animals or move to something a bit different. I'm almost curious to see if they go with the safe route and just do Dino's again and adapt Ryusoulger.

Either way I think it's safe to say ToQger will not be next and as much as I'd like to see it I feel like Lupinranger vs. Patranger won't happen any time soon as well.

 

I’ve wracked my brain trying to think of a good way to adapt LuPat without just taking the season as is and just translating it. It’s such a unique season anyways that I guess it could work but I feel like a better idea could be made from the core concept. Totally agreed on ToQger I think it’s too “out there” but hey people said the same about Go Busters.

Yknow they may try and recapture the MMPR/Dino Thunder magic by going straight for Ryusoulger and I think Hasbro could actually pull it off fairly well but who knows

 

I feel like they could've done a better title than that, but I'm hopeful regardless. I really liked Ryusoulger (still haven't finished since I'm slow as hell but still) and I hope they can do a decent adaptation.

25 years ago today! Makes me realize my mom took me to the theater to see it when I was 3. I would probably judge the shit out of her now for taking a 3 year old to the theater.

Super intrigued by this. Seems like big changes are coming after Dino Fury

edit: The official press releases specifies the projects as “non-kid”. Wonder if this means we’d have two PR series running at the same time at some point

 

I have high hopes for this but I do hope we still in some capacity get adaptations of the Sentai. Regardless of what happens though I'm just glad Hasbro seems to have a solid future planned for Power Rangers.

 

Been listening to The Power Trip podcast and it's really made me fall in love with the franchise all over again. So far they've covered all the TV seasons, plus the three movies, and the thematic discussions especially have given me a new appreciation for even my least favourite periods. If you don't mind podcast episodes that tend to run 2-3.5 hours, I'd highly recommend.

 

Have never heard of this podcast, but now I know what I'll be doing with my next few hours at work!

I did a full series re-watch right before the 2017 movie came out, and then another back during Covid, so hopefully this doesn't send me down the rabbit hole of watching every season again haha.

I am now doing a rewatch, just starting the second half of Turbo. I started with watching my favorites of JDF’s MMP eps at first. Then I went back and watched the rest of s1-3. And now I am committed to watching through RPM.

 

Dino Fury is a pretty solid return to form. Everything involving Izzy and her sexuality and her girlfriend Fern is so well done. Would’ve changed my life to see it as a kid. Really excited we get ten more episodes with this team. And then also pumped for the 30th anniversary special

 

I’ve only seen up to most of the first season of Dino Charge. Then I watched the Ninja Steel with all the former rangers. Then the Beast one with Jason.

It’s insane that it’ll be 30 years next year. It started when I was in first grade. I think I was the perfect age when it started. I watched through Time Force. That’s where I stopped as it aired. Years later, I’m watching the History of Power Ranger series by Linkara. I do a rewatch on YouTube. Then keep watching all the seasons I missed. This was right after RPM and, at the time, the series ended. I watched all I missed and during it the Saban buying it back happened. I finished my watching shortly before Samurai premiered and watched the show live from then through Super Mega Force. I watched the premiere of Ninja Steel and then stopped again until this fall. JDF’s passing hit hard as I associated him with my younger brother who had died from cancer. He had this white ranger hat he wore all the time when he lost his hair to chemo. So I dived back in. And as I said before, I’m currently shifting into Turbo.

 

@Greg I’m sorry to hear about your brother. I hope the rewatch feels cathartic. I watched a bunch of my favorite Tommy episodes the night news broke of his passing with my girlfriend and it was really nice.

Also for whatever it’s worth, second half of the second season of Dino Fury is top tier PR. Haven’t seen such great storytelling in PR since RPM

 

I love the theme song for it... Wish there was a way to get a full version of the theme.

JDF had “retired” from Power Rangers and isn’t in the special but Hasbro announced today he participated in some of the anniversary stuff that’s been planned which is nice. Karan Ashley (Aisha) and Johnny Yong Bosch (Adam) are back as well.

Also announced that for Cosmic Fury, Amelia’s going to be the first full time female red ranger. Shouldn’t have taken 30 years but here we are

 

That looks cool. And it looks like Cosmic Fury is the second season of Dino Fury? I know I can google it… but… lazy

A 10 episode season? Interesting.

 

I’m guessing the fact that it’s on Netflix is part of why. The general feeling is that Hasbro is cashing in on the 30th anniversary and then are going to restructure the formats of the franchise. IIRC the Entwistle universe is going to be a series and movies all tied together and then there’s been talk of an animated series skewed towards the younger demographic. I kind of wish they’d keep the show structure similar and do the animated series for the older audience
