Ahhh... That I can actually see properly. And uh... They are really emphasizing the "putty" part. They look like goo shaped into people. Weird. But I'll wait to see what they look like in action.
From what I've read, Rita is doing something dastardly and is interrupted by the Rangers. She makes the putties out of some ruble from a damaged building on the spot to fight them.
I'm still optimistic about this, but from what ive seen so far im also a bit worried. i accept that its a modernization and a bit of a "reboot" so to speak so it gets so leeway with designs and such, but a lot of the designs so far have been weird for me at best. The Megazord looks so strange, like they tried to fuse Voltron into it or something. Goldar literally feels like they heard the name and went "ok he must be really really gold" which is fine but just looks odd. The putties above are actually a pretty decent imagining and truth be told I actually like the suits, but then theres stuff like Alpha 5 and Rita which again just look so strange. But, all that nitpicking aside, im still pretty excited. Maybe all of my complaints will be shelved when I see the movie and see this stuff in action. Also since we dont have a dedicated Power Rangers thread, Dino Charge has been great and is a fantastic apology for the abomination that was Megaforce.
Aside from the casting, which has been excellent, and the teaser posters, everything about this has looked real bad. As a fan of the franchise I was really looking forward to this, but now I don't even know if I'll see it in theater.
It's kinda weird that we haven't gotten a full trailer for this yet and it's out in a little over two months
I was thinking the same thing. Went to the movies the other day and saw a huge cardboard display for Power Rangers, but no full trailer
Still running with low expectations... I must say though, I was impressed with this second trailer. I just hope they didn't show all the good parts in this new trailer because I liked those lighter/comedic scenes.
Yes, but for this movie, that's a good thing. If I'm gonna chase nostalgia and actually see this in theaters, I wanna know exactly what I'm getting into with these costumes and Zords, lol. This doesn't look good, but with appropriate expectations, maybe it'll be fun.
