Seems smaller than previous years in terms of "heavyweights," but a sweet line-up nonetheless with some interesting/cool acts I wasn't expecting (Sims, Go Betty Go, the Slackers, Daggermouth).
Me and my friends are making the drive from Toronto for this. Has anyone that's been before have any general tips? Usually takes me a couple years to figure out the "right" way to do a festival, hoping you guys can give me a leg up Wondering about things like: how far apart are the venues? Is it easy to hop between clubs to see different bands? How likely are the venues to reach capacity for the headliners/should we plan to line up early? how many bands is realistic to see in a night? good punk/alternative bars that people go to after the shows, good food options nearby, is public drinking given a pass? Thanks in advance!
Don't think I'll be buying tickets, the majority of the bands I want to see (PUP, Flatliners, Lagwagon) are all playing for free outside.
Fair enough. Catching: Bad Cop / Bad Cop The Bombpops Red City Radio RVIVR The Dirty Nil Direct Hit! Broadway Calls Daggermouth (reunion) was enough to justify the purchase for me. I've also never been to Montreal somehow so I'll be doing some sight-seeing during the days. Would appreciate any recommendations from local folks!
