went splitboarding (basically snowshoeing on two halves of a snowboard, then you reconnect to ride downhill) last week. had a good time.
about 10 miles south of Interstate Park, if you’re familiar with the Taylor’s Falls area. cool little public land conservancy near my hometown.
haha, this wasn’t near as bad as dudes who do it in the mountains. I have friends out west who will do a 1 hour ascent for a 10 minute ride down. my walk was 20 minutes in & out, and a 30 second ride.
nice!! Ive been meaning to get out before spring hits to explore. But i guess I do have another 4 months or so realistically lol
at least two. tons of great parks to explore, even in the winter. Theodore Wirth on the west side rents snowshoes or XC skis.
IT WAS SO GOOD. They played a lot of the well-known songs and also had an amazing piece dedicated to black victims of police violence. I had a really awkward moment after the show where I asked David Byrne for a personalized signature and he refused but I at least gave it a shot and now I have a short story to tell lol.
