the one here only has one wooden roller coaster left. The newer ones are all steel and the Texas Giant was updated a few years ago to a steel track Six Flags Over Texas is the original location
I remember as a kid that ride being fun and stuff because I was small but when I grew up it became terrible. all the constant pain in my back after and I was like ENOUGHHH. That rides gotta go or at least get updates because nostalgia sucks now.
I went to Six Flags (CA) for the first time last summer and really enjoyed it. Twisted Colossus and Riddler's Revenge were my favorites. I still need to go to Universal for Hogwarts. I've only been there for Horror Nights for the last couple years. I need to join my Slytherin brethren.
What side did you go on? I've found the Tomorrowland side to be the rougher one. It's also the side I prefer.
The butterbeer at Universal/Harry Potter land was probably my favorite thing there tbh. It's dangerously good. Can't recall. I went on whichever side doesn't get you wet. I remember waiting in line and seeing some people get off the ride wet and thinking, "damn, I hope that's not gonna be us."
I think I'm getting old for coasters. When I went on the Mummy ride at Universal a few years ago I had to like collect myself afterwards lol and it didn't used to bother me.
Coasters freak me out every now and then because I feel like my head will get chopped off at 6'1. And that's not even that tall.
I don't have much problem with most coasters but rides where you don't feel completely secured get to me. Like at our Six Flags the new Joker ride has seats that flip independent of the track and that felt like I could fall out easily. Or this ride where you're sitting in a swing that goes 400 feet in the air is pretty scary. But I seek that out, it's a thrill
the only rides I'm not ok with are those swings where they take you all the way to the sky and I'm like oh no this ain't final destination.
I haven't been in a while but I love Hulk, E.T. (Which I think they just got rid of), Spider-Man, back to the future, Twister and the one that floods the subway. I was pumped about Universal getting Terminator but it blew. I'm more into the simulator stuff than actual coasters. MGM Tower of Terror is my shit though.
I've lived a few minutes from Six Flags New England my whole life/worked there when I was 15-16 so I will always have a soft spot for it
I almost fell out of Raging Bull AND Batman on the same 8th grade class field trip. Never again for me.
I love coasters which is why I love Knotts. But since my 3 yr old nephew will be there I prob won't go on much. It was the same with disney. I hate spinny rides tho. I used to be able to do them but I get nauseous now cause I'm weak af. I do love the Jurassic park ride at universal but my nephew is too short. I will try to find a way!
Jurassic Park ride blew my mind when I first went to Universal. I can say the same with the Jaws part of the tour and it's why I became such a big fan of the movies.
I thought you were saying there was a Paul Giamatti themed roller coaster for a second and I was very excited
Hahaha no, the flood that chases him is still being used on the Tram ride today. I would go on a Giamatti themed ride though.
I remember that ride being a proper shock when I was there in 2011. There's all these families with kids on the sedentary little water ride and then it dumps you over a big drop out of nowhere.
