I don’t think we’ll be seeing anything new from them until 2020 at the earliest. They toured a ridiculous amount for The Wilderness and I recall seeing a post of theirs saying they’ll be entering hibernation for a bit.

  6. Post-rock adjacent with prog vibes and vocals! They released their debut self-titled album last month and it's HELLA good. From India.

Man I saw GFE ten years ago when my band was playing a show and we went to the venue the night before to talk to the promoter about something and they let us hang out for that nights show. GFE played and I was like what the hell this is banging.

I gave We Were Exploding Anyway a listen the other week for the first time in awhile. A stunning record; the closer is one of their all-time best songs.

  16. One of my favourite ever moments at a gig was when they headlined Arctangent in 2013 and OPENED with that. Fucking incredible show. Look at this setlist!

Just getting to this. This sounds so so good.

Totem and Tabu is one of my favorite songs by anyone in the genre.

Is it better than Hymn to the Immortal Wind?

Not quite for me— Hymn is untouchable.

The new Mono album is fantastic. It’s also the first I’ve ever really listened to. I’ve added what was available on Apple Music. What should I listen to next?

Hymn to the Immortal Wind and You Are There are two favorites, though I haven't heard a lot of their discography.

I fully expect MONO to be near the top of my end year list. I think it’s that good. I’ve only listened to Under The Pipal Tree prior to this. Looks like I need to check out Hymn to the Immortal Wind.
