I saw the other day that he was ranked #4 on Spotify. I knew he was huge but i didn't know he was THAT huge.
I could get through the first song but that's it. I would like to see him get into folk because his Bob Dylan cover is better than any of the stuff on both of his albums.
The singles I've heard are awful and the dude is a total clown with his face tattoos and general demeanor (and not in a good way), but I saw a couple of live snippets that made me think he can actually sing so I'll probably get around to checking it out and seeing if it's any good. Pretty amazed at the numbers though (as I always am).
Not sure bringing up his appearance is the best way to judge him...he has come up from nothing and refuses to change for anyone, which I look at as a positive. I'm not a huge fan of his music, but absolutely think he's talented and looks to be good to the people that matter in his life. Calling him a 'total clown with face tattoos' is a bad way to go about critiquing him...imo.
I'm sorry to judge an artist on their appearance in the days of social media when image matters almost as much as music. I am sure none of us are supposed to notice, and I'm sure he doesn't want the attention good or bad. Just good ole posty being posty.
I think his clothing style and appearance matches his personality. He is a little goofy and seems to be laid back. The best thing about him is that he doesn’t get upset over criticism and sometimes makes jokes when presented with them. I value that in musicians.
