Why exactly? This seems to imply some intent to appropriate black culture for his personal gain without any sincerity in what he was doing and then once he got what he wanted he moved on to something else. This just seems like a lot of assumptions about him and his motivations. Couldn’t he have just made music he loved and his sound evolved?
It's fine, but not something to be enthusiastic about. If he did a full blown rock/country album, that could be a game changer. Hopefully that happens sooner than later.
I've honestly never understood why he was ever called a rapper in the first place, he's been a singer from the beginning
really enjoying this. i think too cool to die is my early fav. kind of falls off towards the end but liking it way more than the last one.
This is the most I’ve liked a Posty album since Beer Bongs for sure. He seems to be happy with the songs he’s making and that’s what matters. Album #1 as a dad
Half way through this now and I am really loving it. Mourning is a phenomenal track, plus Chemical, Novacandy, Too Cool, Speedometer... such a relaxing and enjoyable listen so far
Seeing clips from his current tour, where his older stuff is being played with a full band, makes me wish he'd do a rock album so badly. He's playing these shows like it's just waiting to escape him -screams and all.
This is the first time I have loved a full Post record basically front to back. I'll be listening to this very loudly all summer
