I dunno if this is the right thread, but I drove to Nashville to see Bleeding Through over the weekend & it was one of the coolest things I've been a part of. I didn't know what to expect not knowing anything about the Nashville scene, but it was at this tiny dive bar & almost everyone in the crowd was a friend of the band in some way. All local openers, no barricade, Brandan went into the crowd on almost every song & Marta did lead vocals on a few songs including On Wings of Lead. They're my favorite heavy band & I wanted to see them again after their set at Summer Slaughter got cut to 20 minutes, but I was not expecting such a wild, intimate show like this.
Listened to the This Is Your Way Out EP by Emarosa and the Agraceful debut this morning. Brought back some good memories. Admittedly, I kind of fell off the metalcore genre around 2010, but I don't think I ever knew that Chris went on to form Like Moths to Flames haha.
Emarosa’s I Am Waves and Casablanca are still 2 of the best post hardcore songs I’ve heard. Adored Agraceful too. Always thought LMTF were too generic, albeit with a few bangers thrown in.
Love LMTF, give this one a try @disambigujason Newer track from them with some punchy drums and crunchy riffs. Chris’s vox are top notch
Yeah their last 2 albums are worth a listen if your issue was being generic. I think they matured a lot and refined their specific sound. Over The Garden Wall is one of my favorite metalcore tracks of the last couple of years.
i never got that into like moths to flames until their last album which i thought was a considerable step up for them. bangers galore on that
Basically 'Dark Divine' onwards is where you want to start with LMTF - that record in particular is their most melodic album with some huge choruses, and was also their last with Rise Records. They've been on a non-stop roll since joining UNFD. Everything before that is pretty much 2010s era metalcore stuff, though I'd say it's on the higher-quality end of it.
The Cycles Of Trying To Cope made my personal top 10 albums of 2024, it’s so good through and through.
That sounds awesome. I remember seeing them after they released Declaration. They closed with Sister Charlatan. I really love more intimate shows. The energy is insane. Hopefully I can catch them again in the PNW.
Oh great day for that era of metalcore by the way as To Speak Of Wolves just put out their first song in years as well They're finally releasing a new EP next month!
