So excited to see Imminence and Landmarks this weekend. The imminence setlist is full of bangers and I think they're going to absolutely crush it live. Sold out too which I didn't expect and its been sold out for a minute too. Saw Thrown and the plot in you lately (different shows). Thrown were great, super high energy, small venue with so much moshing and crowd surfing going on. The plot in you sounded great but were pretty boring to be honest and I think the crowd kind of met that low energy. Not my favorite live metalcore band. Might have been too big of a venue for them too. Wasn't empty by any means, but wouldn't have considered it a sell out or even 90% full.
I'm listening to Volumes for the first time thanks to the namedrop. While I found their debut to be too djenty, I quite like what I'm hearing on the second album so far.
Imminence as expected absolutely killed it. Looks like I'm on the tail end of the US tour and it's almost over, but glad I caught it. As expected, a lot of production, and a lot of the 'live' aspect can be questioned with the backing tracks and production, but I loved it. Sounded great and the visuals were top notch for a band of their level (sort of big but not really massive?). Great, great time.
Just found this band (Initiate) and they rip... Had no idea what they were going to sound like, just going through my venues shows and checking out bands I didn't know, and glad I did. Big fan so far of the 3-4 songs I've listened to. EDIT - Not this song specifically, more the next song on the album, but it sort of reminds me of Refused in both the guitar and even the vocal style? Also should have searched, they have an album thread. May be new to some of ya'll though.
Looove Initiate. Cerebral Circus is one of the best records of the decade so far for me. Their new post-hardcore single is really fun too. Worth checking out if you haven't yet.
