I saw Woe, Is Me over the weekend and it was simply amazing. Never got to see them back in the day, so it was a truly a treat that they came back to my area. they played stuff from their whole discography and a couple new songs! I even got to talk to Michael a little bit after this and tell him how much his music means to me. A new album is in the works and hopefully more touring to come, they said!
Saw A Skylit Drive last night. Not very familiar with the vocalist drama/history but liked em enough back in the day to go. They sounded great and had good energy but only a few dozen people stuck around after the 5 openers (it was a stupid long show). they understandably seemed a bit dejected by the lack of crowd energy. Hard to watch some of these former big names seemingly struggle in the new era. Saw The Ongoing Concept at the same venue a couple months and they only played for like 20. Granted they never felt that big but their most recent album is their best, I thought it would have a bit more appeal.
yah ASD isn't what it used to be anymore, but W,IM was back with their OG lineup minus tyler , and they brought maybe 60-80 kids on a friday night in a suburb of chicago, so not bad, plus they hadnt played here in 9 years i think they said?
If we're going to be pedantic about it, Hance is the vocalist of the OG line-up. Tyler was their third overall clean vocalist.
i know, that's why i said minus tyler, since he wasn't there, and hance was lol tyler was there when they blew up before hance came back a path less traveled baby!
