Hi, I was wanting to start a new thread to share records like this which are post-hardcore but quite different from the type I've seen discussed here. I'm thinking more 90's style post-hardcore but I'm not sure of what terminology to use. I'd like to avoid having two threads with post-hardcore in the title. So, any suggestions?

 

I was really into akissforjersey around 2008-2009 and thought their record from 2014 was criminally underrated. This is a pretty good comeback song.

 

There's room for all types of post-hardcore imo. Personally I'm more drawn to the one you want to discuss than what usually gets shared so feel free to send recs or anything.

At this show and Hopesfall played the best set of their lives.

 

Have Hopesfall said anything about an upcoming release?

 

Their guitarist plays for another band which I saw open for Fuming Mouth and he hinted that new material is coming at that show. That was roughly a month ago.

This is the band if anyone wants to check it out. Black n roll and VERY different from Hopesfall. He also plays for Prayer for Cleansing but that band isn’t exactly active.

 

They apparently have another single that they submitted to Equal Vision at the same time as Hall of the Sky, but EV haven't done anything with it. So there's at least one song, coming at some point...

 

Well they didn’t play it last night and they played all the hits

Third time seeing them and they never disappoint

 

Maybe it’s just me but that WIM song sounds like two entirely different songs put together and it doesn’t work for me at all

 

i liked it, only jammed it once so far! what do you think of 'red' & 'ghost'?

 

I only listened to them a couple of times when each was released, but I remember enjoying them for the most part. Hance just doesn’t really pull me into wanting to listen to them. Not that’s he’s not good. Idk what it is really

 

i wanna see em live, never got to see em back in the day, hopefully they tour my way next year! ive been enjoying all the new songs though, stoked they are back! new music is a bonus ya know but i get what you are saying
