funeral for a friend! Funeral For a Friend on 20 years of Casually Dressed and Deep in Conversation (altpress.com)
Got to see casually dressed in full live last night in Glasgow. Was incredible. Always love seeing them live. That album is perfection in my opinion. Came out when I was 16 and I played that on repeat for so long. Still regularly listen to it. Always thought they’d have been received better over in America. Could be wrong but I feel like they don’t get mentioned a lot over in the U.S. especially when reminiscing on bands back then. I’d put casually dressed alongside any of the classic albums that came out around 2003/04.
thats sick, ive never seen them live before and yeah im 35 now and i only really heard about them in america when that album and hours were coming out. i personally fell off after memory and humanity and never heard of them since really
Yeah. To be honest casually and hours are THE go to albums, haha. Their EPs were class too. Between order and model and Four ways to scream your name/seven ways to scream your name. Casually Dressed also has one of my favourite album covers of all time. Absolutely love it and managed to grab a limited edition foil print of the artwork at the gig.
Been relistening to TDWP's catalogue in prep for seeing them on Saturday, is Transit Blues secretly their best album? Somehow been sleeping on that one heavily until now.
i have been thoroughly enjoying the new Woe, Is Me tracks \m/ im hoping these lead to an EP or full length!! they still got it
It's one I've definitely learned to appreciate more as the years have gone by. My only issue is it sounds like it was produced poorly it sounds......softer? Not in the sense of their heaviness of their sound, it just sounds like it was recorded all in a closet. Muffled maybe. But yeah I think it's definitely up there. Have fun!
They've got the right elements in parts but yeah, not something I'll go back to. I'm sure this will go off on Octane though
