Personally, I found the song kind of boring; basically the same chugging notes for most of the song. I guess you could say kind of a standard Periphery song, but I guess I was hoping for a bit more variety in the song
One of the best debuts I’ve ever heard. This band is going to explode. I don’t think they’ve released a bad song prior to this either.
The new Graphic Nature record is great. If you're interested, I recently had their vocalist on my podcast to talk about it. EP #44 - Harvey Freeman (Graphic Nature)
Fellow letlive. fans, I had guitarist Jeff Sahyoun on my podcast to talk a little bit about letlive. and what he's been up to since their split, but mainly about his new project Erase Theory. The episode came out today, so feel free to check it out if you're interested. Debut EP comes out tomorrow. EP #45 - Jeff Sahyoun (Erase Theory / ex-letlive.)
This song rips! Played it on repeat while doing some remodeling last night. Can confirm it is perfect sanding music
My band recorded this past weekend at Zing Studios, where Define The Great Line was done and a lot of other great albums. Very cool experience.
The Invent Animate album is one of my favorite metalcore albums in a while. Marcus Vik's progression is nothing short of incredible, and they seem to have really incorporated his hooks to their full potential in this one (with the help of Landon Tewers). Expectations were already pretty high with the singles and it delivered. Not sure if just hit all the right notes for me at this point in my life, but I'll be coming back a lot.
theyve become one of my favorite bands over the past couple releases which is incredible since I haven’t been able to get into the current gen of metal core very easily, but they already feel head and shoulders above the much more prominent bands. I agree his vocals are incredible here. My only critique is i *really* miss having the riffs front and center, I can’t tell if they’ve largely dropped em or if they’re just really hard to hear on several songs. Not a fan at all of this trend of bands burying the leads behind the muddy djenty chugging.
It might honestly be the mix because I can hear a lot of really great riffs on here, but it can be a tad bit muddy because of the spacey nature of all of the songs.
I'm listening to it and it's giving me a headache sonically. It sucks because what I'm hearing sounds a lot like Northlane. I just can't get past that type of production that plagues a ton of metalcore I stumble upon. That being said, Emberglow slaps.
