I’ve liked each blessthefall record less than the one before it but Jared has/had one of the best screams in post-hardcore. Looks like the article is 11 months old but I’ll check this out.
Seems relevant. This was posted 5 days ago. BLESSTHEFALL members remove band from online social profiles
Oh wow that timing is funny, well damn. I've liked all of ther albums, their most recent 2 maybe a bit less than their other ones but they still have a bunch of solid songs I like a lot, like Sleepless in Phoenix. Witness will probably remain my favorite album.
I don't think I've listened to anything other than the 2009 album, which at the time surprised me for having the guts to reuse the same chord progression in the choruses of most of the songs lol. I'll give their discography a listen.
Oh for sure, I just found it amusingly blatant in their case. It made me wonder how the songwriting process must've been like.
What band was most successful of all the Craig Mabbitt bands? Escape the Fate blessthefall The Word Alive My guess is ETF
Escape the Fate: 2, 180, 237 blessthefall: 702, 061 The Word Alive: 2, 074, 220 Per Spotify I would never had guessed ETF and TWA were neck and neck in popularity.
Yea blessthefall definitely the least of the three popularity wise but probably my favorite, I honestly really like Beau. They were never groundbreaking but were always a go to metalcore listen for me, like I can throw them on almost any time and have a good time. Escape the Fate I like but the last few albums I never went back to. The Word Alive probably the lowest of the three for me, but I do dig Battle Royale. And I can listen to some random stuff from them time to time.
ETF is definitely the easiest to get into but I can’t deny how much I love those early TWA albums, once they lost Luke they struggled. I hope this new album is a return to form.
Craig was one of my favorite vocalists for a while. The first word alive EP was incredible, wish that got to play out more. First couple ETF records were fine too with some really good standouts. Always had a soft spot for Something. BTF’s His Last Walk, however, is an all timer for me. As good as any heavy vocal or guitar record during that time imo.
I get Glassjaw, Letlive. and Coheed And Cambria vibes from this band. The album at least, as the follow up single (third embed below) is more in line with Dance Gavin Dance. This slaps!
This project sounds lame from the start. At least Fronz is out. https://www.theprp.com/2023/01/03/n...e-big-six-spites-darius-tehrani-replaces-him/
I know this is only metalcore adjacent (if at all) but there's a new Periphery album coming out in March, is there a thread for that yet?
