I was fine with what he did with Knocked Loose. But this sounds pretty ass. Not a big fan of Boundaries tho so what do I know.
Yeah I feel the sound is just off, but seeing Boundaries live playing the new song was pretty damn good.
the knocked loose record was good despite fulk but it was a clear step down in the production department from the previous EP
Yeah.. this just sounds bad mix wise. The drums sound awful and I thought if anything that would sound the best since they sound phenomenal on You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To.. There’s a great song in there but between this and Skies? I’m skipping preordering this record and Death was my favorite album of 2024. Big bummer.
Totally agree. Just sat down and listened to all four of them last night and was super surprised with how much I enjoyed them. I was never much of a HTD fan in the past, but I’m really digging these new songs. Excited for Thursday night!
i think their old stuff is kinda underwhelming but attack of the wolf king and coward are both super sick. i dont really think this new one is gonna top either but its looking to join em at third place
This was a pleasant interview with Ahren formerly of the The Amity Affliction, he talks about the behind-the-scenes of what happened with his departure and where he was at the time headspace wise. He also talks about his new band and he just seems to be doing really well, which is awesome to see. I have been listening to TAA for like 10 or 15 years now and I’m still gutted that he’s not in the band anymore. His vocals and his voice are just something I grew up with, and I love his songs and his lyrics. It got me through a lot. And it’s cool that they are still going without them, but it just never will be the same again for me personally. But I’m glad that his departure led to his happiness and for doing something new. There’s just sometimes situations where you just can’t do the same thing forever.
Idk anything about the band’s lore as I just got into em a few albums ago but he’d really become one of my favorite metalcore vocalists. One of the few unique voices with a wildly good ear for melody.
i am a fan of his musical contributions for sure, much more than i am the current guy. he had an interesting voice it almost sounded like tom delonge and mark hoppus in one person lol, also reminds me of the adtr guy. has a very bright pop punky timbre and it fit amitys music really well i think he also had a lot of simple but super effective hooks that allowed their stuff to hit the populace easy. chasing ghosts esp nailed that for me, amazing harmonies on that
