they were so unique and a gateway into the scene when you're a kid discovering the genre and now they're tarnishing that. i think these bands think by becoming mainstream they'll get more people into their bands but it doesn't work like that. a 20yr old will hear burn or six feet and like it but hear in vogue and be disgusted.
Dream On Dreamer are releasing their first album since their (short-lived) breakup and now reunion on May 1, 2026. Curious to see what direction they take for this one. My favorite remains this strongly Lost In The Sound Of Separation influenced, Matt Goldman produced album. I doubt they'll ever go back to that sound but I can dream!
i hope its like the older stuff but ill take anything, great and super underrated band edit: oof extremely not into the new song, oh well
I discovered them from their Hope EP somehow and felt like their follow up was a pretty big let down. I will need to check out that LITSOS album you mentioned. EDIT: Weird, I can't find this on Apple Music anywhere.
loveless is one of my favorite albums ever, and i aint talkin my bloody valentine either zach britt is an absolutely unreal vocalist, his other project young lions is also very good. tbh i probably prefer young lions at this point
I had a similar journey, that EP was so good. Their debut album was full blown Risecore with all the tropes you can expect from that era, which didn’t appeal to me. I prefer their later material.
So psyched after all these years. I always felt like they were a bit too early then broke up before being able to benefit from the early 2020s to present nu metalcore wave. I hope they regain some momentum and get their flowers for Strangers Only and unReal as well. Underrated band
