ive been listening to them a decent amount lately didnt even know a new album was coming out. so hell yeah.
omg i just remembered i saw them in like 2007 with fucking playradioplay! or whatever name he was at the time. thats some shit right there. what a random combo.
I saw the same show! It was at the drunken unicorn in Atlanta. Got to talk to the band members and everything. Church Mouth had just came out.
I think Feel It Still is one of my least favorite PTM tracks. Nothing too interesting about it at all, really feels like it was made for the radio, which just feels strange for PTM. The last two times I heard it were at Sonic, and Ross, so thats saying something haha.
"Feel It Still" might be my least favorite as well, but it's still a good fun song. Plus it's less than 3 minutes long.
def the best of the songs released. Sounds like something off of Satanic which is probably my favorite release of theirs.
Satanic Satanist is their best album. It is awesome that they try new sounds, but also sad we wont get another album like that ever again.
SS is great, but I wouldn't say it leaps and bounds better than everything else. There are 3-4 P.TM albums that are all about on the same playing field for me.
To me, if I had to rank the albums, the list would always change based on the day, but SS would always be #1
Church mouth is close for me. Also really enjoyed the last one but some of the lyrics weren't my fav. I never come back to American ghetto and listen a couple tracks off of in the mountain.
I think Censored Colors is super underrated. Falling between Church Mouth and SS I feel like it's forgotten a lot and there's so much good stuff on that album. Personal favorites might always be Waiter just because that album came out of nowhere for me and was so fresh and different from what I had been listening to, but because of their range of releases my list would probably change daily. Also, some albums get a lot of spins during summer (SS, Evil Friends) and others are more fall (Waiter)/winter (Mountain) specific. Not sure why.
Church Mouth never really clicked with me. It has some highlights but it's the only album of theirs that I don't like in full
Church Mouth is definitely one of my favorites. Hearing the vast difference from Waiter to Church Mouth felt so right and almost like a seamless transition to me. The only album I almost never listen to American Ghetto, but I still listen to about half of those still. Every other album from start to finish is pretty damn great.
