time for mixed reviews of their post Woodstock festival sets from a guy who loves them! saw them at Coachella 2018 and it was fucking incredible saw them at Gov Ball last night and it was meh. Don’t get why they’re still opening with the Beavis and Butthead into Metallica cover years later. John is never that engaging of a frontman but he was so disconnected from the audience last night. In the back and looking to the side the whole time. Pretty sure 90% of the crowd thought Zach was the singer because he was front and center with the mic and the camera kept showing him lol. Also a little salty that the written setlist closed with Purple Yellow Red Blue but they didn’t get to play it because, well the Beavis and Butthead thing and a Nirvana cover that apparently were more important for their time slot lol. Julia Cumming from Sunflower Beam came out to do a cover of Moonage Daydream and they brought her back out to close with Feel It Still but she clearly didn’t know the lyrics of the verses and messed up the chorus too. Weird show.
I don't feel the need to see them until there's a new album because they've been playing the same set for 3 or 4 years and I've seen it about 5 times so I'm good.
I don't want to get my hopes up here, but they've been with Jeff Bhaskar (!!!!!) The last few days, in studio and out... But if this means new music.... Gimme gimme gimme
can we just get some new PTM solo music please? Here's what is sure to be a strange collab with AWOLNATION and Brandon Boyd...
It’s a Scorpions cover, which might be stranger haha https://www.1057thepoint.com/music-...over-alongside-brandon-boyd-portugal-the-man/
haha what??? good lord this is getting so odd. Interesting song choice too, cheese metal at it's cheesiest
This cover is certainly interesting.... John sounds good, but he really only gets a few lines. Brandon sounds nice too, but the rest is... not my jam I guess
