I've been looking through the PTM reddit subreddit and it seems that John goes in there a ton and talks to fans/answers questions. This is particularly interesting about the band collaborating with Mac Miller: "MM is amazing. Super talented artist and producer. TBH I didn't know what to think of him when we first met but as I got to know him I started to see where he comes from musically. Really happy we met and became friends. Serious talent and actually a great singer. Cool and confident, down for whatever. We recorded a track with Mike D, Mac and had Drunken Masters co-produce with Mike D at Rick's studio, Shangri La. Rad track. I know management and label would love to have this on the new album but I made a move and am standing by it. Part of G+D so who knows."
Portugal the Man are doing an AMA on reddit in about 10 minutes on r/indieheads. See yall ther Edit: nvm they cancelled it
Album out in June. Take it with a grain of salt because they also said they finished the album last year, so....
Looks like noise pollution is the album closer. Head over to the PTM subreddit for all sorts of tidbits, pictures, etc of Woodstock
Woodstock -- What we know so far • r/portugaltheman Liveleak the Revolution • r/portugaltheman Lots of glimpses of the album art/liner notes like this: Opening song is called Number One and the closer is Noise Pollution. I think it's going to be a different version of the song.
I'm assuming it will be a different version as well, especially with how the single was titled. We'll see. Already shaping up to be a good year, Evil Friends got hundreds of plays from me, I hope Woodstock does the same.
You must have went in there and edited my post because I don't know where that came from. Didn't you.
