I'm going through six right now. Still going strong.

 

Can't wait. I've found the last few seasons to be some of their strongest yet.

Watching season 6 on Netflix right now. The "how old is Fred" episode is incredible.

 

I made the mistake of reading some Facebook comments on a recent feature about Portlandia.

So many people livid, apparently blaming all of Portland's problems on the show. They don't seem to realize they're parodying themselves.

 

This is amazing.

 

‘Portlandia’ to End With Season 8 in 2018

 

Dammit. Actually pretty bummed about this, the newest episodes have been so great, I feel like the show still has juice left but, of course that's Fred & Carrie's call.

 

I feel like we already knew next season was the last, I am actually 100% sure we knew

 

Yeah they made that announcement when S7 was announced.

This show still makes me crack up week after week and I'll miss it, but it doesn't really need to go beyond 8 seasons, and I'm sure Carrie and Fred will still do other stuff I'll enjoy.

 

Wonder if that means Carrie will do more with SK. Either way stoked, love everything these two have done

 

Well that wasn't an ending I expected, haha... what???

Really interesting take, sad it's ending but I could totally understand why they've decided to step away from it for now. Hopefully Fred and Carrie work on another project together at some point in the future.

Mostly good first episode, the country scene was kinda eh but I loved the band sketch

 

I was going to say the same thing, didn't like the horses stuff but I really dug the band getting back together. The podcasting was pretty funny too.

 

Also liked that they got terry crews for that last scene, they always have good casting

 

I guess it's over, damn

 

Looks like the series finale is next week

 

It is? Good, I thought this was the last one because on demand said it ends the 18th. Glad this wasn't the last episode

 

I looked at Wikipedia and it said there's an episode next week

 

The finale is next week, but my DVR didn't have it set to record... not sure why
