Just booked my 7th annual trip into Portland… Mt. Hood awaits! Looking forward to some more good eats in the city though.
I can't remember the last time I ate at a restaurant that wowed me. I've been very whelmed. I've been going to the wrong places.
I know it’s not new, but I made it over to Tanaka somewhat recently and was pretty impressed. Except for them entirely forgetting about my order lol. Wound up just splitting what my wife got and it turned out to be enough But yeah I’m trying to better about spending lately, so eating out has been sticking to stuff I already know & like. Always a bummer to drop $14 on some mid. Guero over on 28th is a fav
Not getting my hopes up until I see it Just hoping if it actually comes, we all keep power and it extends after Monday to get off more work lol
There was a dusting of snow on the hill around the zoo this morning, but nothing at my house. I just want to get home on Friday before it really begins, please.
Nothing by in clackamas, didn't see any dustings of snow on my drive to beaverton for work this morning either
Impulse bought one of the last couple snow shovels from the hardware store by me just in case, not getting stuck digging my way out of the house with the broom pan again
I'm preparing to work from home tomorrow in case they close our office and I'm one of those weirdos who doesn't like to work from home and hope it's okay enough to still go in. I need my workplace and my home space very separate!
Looks like some of the school districts are releasing 3 hours early tomorrow Hoping that trickles to my office at a certain checkmark branded company
Lol def had no issue going to work or to driving around for various work appts today. They canceled some of our functions as a precaution that def didn't need to be. But I guess better safe than sorry. I'm from eastern Oregon where it snows a lot more than here, but driving in pdx in snow and driving in Eastern Oregon with snow are two different beasts. People laugh at the "overreaction" but it gets slick af and last year they waited too long to close our office due to snow and it took some ppl like 6 hours to get home, so I'd take precaution any day over that
Yeah a little chilly out! Sort of an ironic day for a vinyl copy of Southern Air to be out for delivery
It's so windy I couldn't sleep last night cause it's so loud. I'm surprised my hanging lights haven't blown off my balcony yet.
I didn't sleep at all last night. Each gust of wind made me brace for impact. Our neighbor's trees have been dropping branches like crazy. Just last week a huge one landed on our roof, but thankfully didn't do damage. We don't have a ton of snow right now. Maybe an inch? We still have power, too, which I'm most thankful for.
My mom lost two big trees in her backyard. Power is out at my sister's and friends houses. We still have power. Wind is picking up.
A bunch of people near us just had their power go out. Saw a video of a traffic light a couple lights up dangling by one wire lol I’ll be sad if our power goes out bc Gilmore Girls is the only thing keeping me going atm!
