never really looked into his music before but this is some really good stuff! im fully vaccinated now and starting to do things again and this album is fitting that vibe for me side note, I was sitting and not paying attention/eating a meal during his shelter set at Coachella 2017... super regretting that
If you mean the 2017 Porter x Madeon set, then yeah you definitely missed out EDIT: Looking at set times, that was a crazy trio of Porter/Madeon to Lorde to Kendrick Lamar on the main stage, I remember all three of those very vividly, so good
Just listened to this for the first time, I wonder what his live shows will look like in a festival setting? Have to imagine he’ll move away from the EDM centric fests with this show. This isn’t a record that will please the majority of main stage EDM fans.
You would be surprised. I think there has been a surge of former EDM acts moving to more of a live act and still being headliners at these types of festivals.
Went on a run yesterday at sundown while listening to this album and it was an impeccable experience. Also, Japanese bonus track is sick.
okay working Something Comfortable back into Sad Machine in the live set was some serious next level shit
Casually stumbled upon this thread and I listened to the record and it's like The 1975's Notes and Bon Iver's 22, A Million had an EDM child.
Was really cool to hear him talk about DDR/Japanese music games being one of his main inspirations as someone who also grew up playing them all the time. Kinda makes me feel validated for still playing DDR haha
I love it when I have two recently released albums that are polar opposites that both equally dominate my listening (The Armed and this)
Listened to this while I was out today and almost cried in public. Got a possible AOTY contender on my hands here.
