Man this is like miles and miles above the previous stuff I’ve heard by him. So pretty. The art direction for this is incredible too

 

Guy's name is Samuel burgess johnson, who did a lot of the 1975's art direction

This album is something else man. Love the almost “Celtic” sound that’s scattered throughout, there’s a lot going on in terms of outside influences and range of sounds... A beautiful amalgamation...

I’m a little thrown off by the flow and sequencing at times, but that could change with more listens (not a knock...).

 

He was on twitter earlier talking about the album and what not. There are spots apparently where he said there isn't a tempo lol.

 

Maybe I misspoke, sorry... was referring more to the track listing and how the songs jump from one to the next.

 

I feel like Mother is one saxophone away from being a 1975 track haha. Which makes sense, on his playlist he made on his Spotify he’s a fan of them, and 22 A Million. The anime and video game influences are there too.

Really loving this, might be my favorite album released this year so far. All of the lyrical optimism and honesty mixed with the general art/aesthetic help it really stand out to me. “Get Your Wish” still slaps as hard as the first time I heard it.

I do love the way Wind Tempos transitions into Musician.

I sincerely recommend anyone who likes this album to watch b this performance, surprisingly entertaining and impressive. Very different than any other set he’s ever done

 

Absolutely insane live performance. I need to see this in person one day

 

Yeah he’s honestly #1 on my must see after that.

Genuinely blown away by what I just saw... mannn I was hoping he'd throw Language in there somewhere, but that's ok lol

I just expected another A+ DJ set but nope... had to up his game TENFOLD!
