Porter has quickly become one of my favorite artists. It’s like he’s somehow been capturing just about everything I’ve been feeling about life right now... and through multiple artistic mediums now. The art direction for Nurture has been stellar. Can’t wait to hear what the rest of this album has to say...
I've never listened to this guy much before this album cycle....but they've got me hooked now. I'm so here for this. Shit slaps and makes me feel alive. Also..the art direction for the album, this video, everything, is so on-point. Beautiful.
Art director's name is Samuel Burgess-Johnson, same director for the 1975's and other Dirty Hit artists! And yeah Porter has a way to make his music capture a moment/feeling more than a lot of artists
Language, despite it being several years old and me being way late to the party, has become nearly an instant all-timer for me... It’s almost like a mission statement, really keeping me hopeful and looking forward in these times... between the lockdowns and all the insanity going on these days and my dad passing away the year before last, it’s been a rough ride and it feels like it came into my life when I needed it most. Like if we could all just push for that idyllic “world” that exists in that song, we’d be doing pretty good.
Collecting the fragments of an identity shattered, Nurture sees Porter Robinson rebuilding himself Album of the Week
