Posted this track in another thread, and this is the first I've even seen this thread here actually, so figured I'd post it here too... but I heard this mash-up a couple of years ago in Las Vegas and for the life of me I couldn't find it lol... until today.

Post Malone, Porter Robinson's "Language", Swedish House Mafia, among others... all compiled by Afrojack on this mix (from what I've seen) and phew, it's had me in my feelings all day... SO freaking good.

 

Ok, so admittedly I have not been familiar with Porter Robinson until just this last weekend... SOMEHOW... lol I don't even know how! The Secret Sky event even... I've known of that for a while now, but I guess I never knew it was his thing? Idk... And I'm almost sure I've heard Language before, probably several times, I just never knew what it was. It could've felt or hit different within a different remix, at a different tempo or something... honestly wouldn't surprise me.

Anyways, long story short, I've been catching up on his stuff, and the Secret Sky set he did... and it might be my favorite thing I've heard all year. Such a hard hitting, beautifully diverse and well curated and crafted mix... one that largely feels right up my alley too. And thinking back to where I had heard that Language remix a couple of years ago, and how it immediately grabbed me in the moment, finally finding it... one thing leads to another, and now I'm having a moment lol... it's like it's all come full circle.

New fan here, better late than never I suppose... Music is pretty cool...

 

Welcome, porters one of the best in the game, and nurture is shaping up to be one of the best releases of the year. That remix you posted was cool lol

 

I finally got around to watching the Secret Sky stream, @drummerAVA inspired me to pull the trigger. Great way to kick off my day today! Although I had to skip the two Lil B songs, absolutely terrible. Everything else was fuckin FIRE though

 

Yeah man, it hits just right for me... melodically, harmonically, it's insane.

Just everything about my initial experiences with Porter's music, it's been spot on. Almost feels like I needed it, just given the general mood as of late. Very relevant. Inspiring. Excited to hear what else he's got coming.

Okay so I've never really listened to Porter before but I checked out the single and it's...really good. Whoa.

 

Check out his 2014 debut album Worlds while you're waiting for this - I think it'll be topped by the forthcoming new record but it's a really impressive set.

 

If you really want a mindfuck, go listen to his Spitfire EP then listen to this.

 

Oh my god, yes. I can't imagine how someone goes from that to this without the additional context of his debut album, lmao.
