This is sick

 

Pool is one of my most cherished albums of 2016 and I hope this has the same lasting power for me

 

This album is super super cool.

-Somehow disorienting but simultaneously I felt welcomed and safe lol
- walks a very fine line between affected and human, especially in the vocals, works out almost exclusively to their advantage.
- Incredibly sly, insidious hooks which I really appreciated. This thing is full of ear worms but it’s not gonna tell you that outright
- overall, I guess it’s what my brain is hoping to hear when something’s a blend of electronic and pop.

Is their last record this same kind of thing ?

 

You’d love the first record (I hope)

 

This sums up the debut for me really nicely - defo delve in.

 

I think By My Side is my favorite as of now

 

this is pretty solid, like the synth tones a lot

 

I've never listened to this project before but wow this album is good

 

It still doesn't top Pool for me but it's great

 

Really like Pool but it blended together a bit for me, think this is a big step stylistically

 

I've listened to this at least once a day for about a week and a half now. Pretty obsessed. "Country" is so special.

 

Kind of shocked this thread hasn't been posted in since February 9th and it's only 2 pages. Great album. "Now The Water" and "Goodbye" are absolutely perfect.

 

This is my favorite album of the year so far (I know, it's early)

 

Honestly Pool was great, but this is a little less cohesive. Not really memorable from my 3 or so listens

 

I liked this quite a bit when it dropped but with some time I really think Pool is the better record. Some great tracks here, but nowhere near as special as Pool.
