I looooved Hot Rod. That movie tends to go over a lot of people's heads. It's stupidly clever in the same way movies like Dirty Work or They Came Together are.
It's a mockumentary but it looks like there's some conflict with Connor4real trying to maintain a solo career while he's getting horrible reviews. I think Jorm is also trying to get the group back together
Akon, P!nk, Seal, Linkin Park and Emma Stone are all on the soundtrack Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping by The Lonely Island on iTunes
Can't decide if I want to listen to the soundtrack before or after I see the movie I think I remember Andy saying 15 songs made the movie. Even though he's not the "performer" character I hope we get some Jorm verses Also Finest Girl is fucking hilarious
Definitely not as good as "Walk Hard" or "Hot Rod," but it has its moments. I just don't think the songs are there, outside of "Humble" and the collaboration with Pink. But there's one scene between Samberg and Meadows that had me rolling.
Really glad this is reviewing well. I'm going to have to wait a week to see it but I can't wait. I watched Hot Rod again last night, will probably watch it again before I get to see this.
Saw a screening last night. Not that good, to be honest. But then again, I hated Hot Rod when I first saw it and I love it now. Maybe it will grow on me whenever I see it again.
Bought Hot Rod on DVD and MacGruber on Blu-Ray today because why the fuck didn't I have them already? I am so damn excited for this
So pumped for this. There's practically no way this can disappoint me. It would have to be monumentally awful, which is not what any of the trailers seem like. Seems just like what I expected.
watched the trailer for the first time yesterday after the snapchat filter. surprised that this wasn't advertised more.
